Another Take

Some places refuse to stay forgotten.

Another Take returns to the same sun-dappled clearing as its companion piece *Reclaimed* — but steps closer, shifts the angle, and finds something new in the silence. Two abandoned military vehicles, half-swallowed by forest, sit in the kind of stillness that only comes after decades of being left alone. Roots pushing up through the ground. Light filtering through a canopy that's been slowly, patiently reclaiming what was left behind.

This is the second composition from the same scene — painted because one view wasn't enough. The forest had more to say.

Painted in acrylics on canvas board, Another Take is a compact, richly textured piece that rewards close looking. The dappled greens and grays, the rust bleeding through faded olive drab, the quiet disorder of nature doing what it does — it's all there.
