About Wes Gale — The Artist Behind Panther Fine Art
Wes Gale is a contemporary American artist whose work blends emotional depth, technical skill, and a deep respect for the natural world. Shaped by his military service — particularly the intensity and precision of aviation environments — Wes channels both the beauty and weight of those experiences into his art.
A veteran UH-60 Blackhawk Warrant Officer pilot and veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Wes spent years flying combat missions with precision and unwavering commitment. When he came home, art became more than a skill — it became a lifeline. Facing the long shadow of PTSD after service, he turned to painting not only as expression but as a vital means of grounding and rediscovery.
Guided by his defining philosophy, "The Art of Rediscovering Life," Wes creates pieces that explore resilience, renewal, and the quiet strength found in nature and memory. His portfolio spans wildlife, big cat portraiture, sweeping landscapes, architectural studies, and detailed military aviation art that honors the aircraft and aircrews who shaped his worldview.
Wes works across multiple mediums — oils, pastel pencils, charcoal, acrylics, and airbrush — blending technical mastery with an intuitive storytelling approach. He continues to grow his craft through weekly sessions at Medallion Art School and through the Coast Creative Community Coaching mentorship program led by renowned artists Noah Elias and Dave Monnig.
With a purpose that extends beyond the canvas, Wes supports reputable big cat sanctuaries through his work, giving back to the animals that continually inspire him. His art invites viewers to reconnect, reflect, and rediscover what truly matters.
